Governor Hochul announces completion of $42 million affordable and supportive housing project in Rockland County

We, at the Sisters of Charity Housing Development Corporation (SCHDC), are thrilled to celebrate the successful completion of Vincent’s Village in Nanuet, Rockland County.

In partnership with Rockabill Development and supported by generous financing from New York State Homes and Community Renewal, we have realized our vision for a development that enhances the quality of life for older adults. Vincent’s Village is a testament to what can be achieved when faith-based communities, the state, and the private sector come together with a common goal of providing affordable, high-quality housing for our aging population.

This $42 million development boasts 93 affordable homes with on-site health and wellness services for adults aged 55 and over, promoting an independent lifestyle while ensuring access to support when needed. The development features three residential buildings with a variety of units suitable for diverse needs, including 81 one-bedroom units and 12 two-bedroom units. Furthermore, residents will enjoy access to our state-of-the-art amenities, which include a fitness room, laundry room, community rooms, and Vinny’s Café—a custom-designed communal space for social activities.

At Vincent’s Village, we are not just providing homes; we’re fostering a vibrant and caring community.
